Bureau for Financial Analysis founded at University of Pretoria.

1965

BFA-Net (Pty) Ltd set up as private sector marketing and development partner.

1993

Naspers buys McGregor Information Systems and a controlling interest in BFA-Net. Launch of Station, a desktop research application.

1998

BFA is privatised and becomes a fully owned subsidiary of McGregor BFA. Data feeds launched as a product.

2000

Station becomes a web app and Research Domain is launched.

2002

Launch of Corporate Actions.

2006

Launch of African price data and library.

2007

Launch of international price data.

2010

McGregor BFA launches of Expert.

2011

McGregor BFA launches the highly innovative tablet app for financial data analysis, Touch.

2012

Naspers buys I-Net Bridge. McGregor BFA and I-Net Bridge form INET BFA.

2013

I-Net Bridge was established as a joint venture between stockbroker, Ivor Jones Roy (now Deutsche Securities) and newspaper publisher, Times Media Limited (TML) to target equity analysts and portfolio managers.

1990

I-Net Bridge launched I-Net Station International with international content partners ComStock and EcoWin.

1995

I-Net Bridge launched Content Solutions products and services. This service provides internet-based offerings, aimed at corporate South Africa as well as government departments.

1997

I-Net Bridge launched the windows 2000 compliant version of I-Net Station.

2000

I-Net Bridge and Moneyline Telerate International announces the formation of a joint-venture company to provide the Telerate financial information products to the South African market. I-Net Bridge releases the windows-based Financial Analysis Service (FAS) to replace the DOS version.

2001

I-Net Bridge upgraded I-Graph by adding international equities. I-Net Bridge launches I-Net International Indicator (III) and Market Monitor International (MMI).

2005

I-Net Bridge was voted as a Super Brand in South Africa.

2007

I-Net Bridge released MSCI Barra Indices, Newspro, African Data, and INN (Inside News Network).

2009

I-Net Bridge launched StockGround in conjunction with Rasyonet. Topco Media selected I-Net Bridge as a Leading Performer in the ITC sector.

2011

I-Net Bridge embarked on an international drive to expand its footprint outside South Africa with its desktop applications. The drive commenced by providing African content to the rest of the world, with I-Net Bridge having comprehensive datasets from 18 major African markets including Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana.

2012

McGregor BFA, under parent company Naspers, purchases I-Net Bridge to form INET BFA.
